Featuring Solid Black Ebony
A stunning Australian Jarrah and Black Ebony table featuring a hand cut dovetail drawer that slides towards each player. Recessed coasters were implemented into the design. There are no paints or stains in our builds, therefore the back squares are solid Black Ebony, this same timber is used as a feature stripe on the coasters as well as a feature stripe of the hand cut tenon legs. Made for mates who like whiskey and chess, this piece will be enjoyed for many Friday nights to come.

About the Designer and Maker
Matt Keayes is the founder, designer and maker behind Ashbuilt Customs.
A qualified carpenter with a Diploma in Building and Construction, Matt began building furniture from his home garage in 2020. What started as a small collection of handcrafted pieces quickly gained recognition, with his work going on to be featured in Australian Wood Review Magazine.
Today, Ashbuilt operates from its Moorabbin workshop and showroom, where Matt continues to design and handcraft furniture from solid timber. His work is also featured in The Designory’s Little Black Book, alongside a curated selection of Australian designers and makers.
